Unrecord, a body cam FPS shooter produced by DRAMA studio, has caused quite a bit of drama. The new first-person shooter game has sparked debate about pushing the bounds of realism in gaming. While this topic is getting public attention thanks to the game, the topic of realism in gaming has divided the opinions of developers for a long time.
Now, Kick streamer Trainwreckstv has weighed in on the level of realism in the game. And his thoughts on the game are not what the game’s makers wanted to hear.
Trainwreckstv criticizes the unreleased game

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, this game’s realistic graphics and hyper-real storyline have got a mixed reaction from fans. The brief trailer begins with a cop approaching a vandalized building, inspecting their weapon before entering to locate a suspect. We then see the cop kill many individuals as they make their way through the structure. The trailer ends with an explosion enveloping the screen.
While some fans praise the game for its realistic storyline, some are concerned about its influence on the younger generation. Trainwreckstv has become one of the people to support the latter. He argued that developers should severely limit the amount of detail in shooter games for a younger audience. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the brutality represented in the trailer.

“But this level of realism, in my opinion, gives real credibility to the nonsense politicians have been spewing for years about video games conditioning young people to lose a sense of empathy toward violent tendencies or situations,” added Trainwreckstv.
This game first surfaced online in late 2022, with a series of clips. Since then, the studio has not given out much information about the game to the public. The Steam page of the game describes the storyline of the game as “a detective novel or a thriller”.

It also cites games like the police tactical shooter Ready or Not and Firewatch as its influences. Unrecord is coming to PC through the Steam Store. While the official release date has not been set till now, the developer DRAMA is saying the game is in the pre-production stage.
