Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was a major entry in this series that debuted in 2015. The game launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles, and PC. It was a moderately successful game, but critics praised it for its aesthetics and visuals. Its characters too got their share of praise, all thanks to the excellent actors playing them.

A big chunk of that praise went specifically to the newly introduced character, Evie Frye. She was the second female protagonist to ever set foot in this universe, and fans really loved how she was portrayed. She shared the role of the protagonist with her brother, but people preferred her over him.

This was the effect of this character on that game and its players. And many know that a character is only as good as the actor playing it. And the person who played Evie is a British actress called Victoria Atkin.

But it appears she is not happy with the deal she got when she was hired to do that role. She recently took to Twitter and said this “Every time someone plays as #EvieFrye @ubisoft makes money… I have never received a dime from gaming residuals in any of the games I have been part of yet #videogames make more money than movies… today im doing what #eviefrye would do… standing in solidarity!”

This is a surprising thing, given the fact that she is making this announcement close to eight years after the game’s launch. Many would disagree with her and many would agree with her. But it becomes very hard to understand why a person would make such allegations so long after a game’s launch.

Maybe she had her reasons, and it would be good if everyone kept their cool until she decided to shed some more light on this matter. It would be interesting to see how the developer and publisher react to this. Given the fact that it has come just at a time when their latest game Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is just a few months away from launch.
