“I Got in the Car and I Cried” – American YouTube Star Reveals the Harrowing Experience of Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Cancer is a challenging experience for everyone, even with the recent medical advances. No matter how treatable it has become nowadays, it is still a very scary experience. It is always terrifying when someone in our lives reveals they have it. Recently, YouTube icon Grace Helbig revealed in a video that she is suffering from breast cancer.

Helbig has cemented herself as a comedic icon and has made multiple fans along the way. She is famously known for her voicing for Cindy Bear in Jellystone! and her funny cooking videos on YouTube. However, her news about having cancer has shocked her fans, with many sending her heartwarming messages.

Youtube star Grace Helbig reveals to have breast cancer to fans

The YouTuber revealed to her fans in a video that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a month now. Helbig finally felt comfortable sharing the fact with her fans but was quite nervous while doing so. However, the stage of cancer Helbig is in is treatable. “They have said it is super treatable,” she shared, “We are going for a cure, not remission.” 

But her experience with the diagnosis was a harrowing one too. She, along with her husband, were both anxious about the results. Furthermore, the YouTuber shared her feelings with her fans stating, “I feel so confident in being able to take this on while feeling the full spectrum of every other emotion”. And the fans are also coming forward to support her in her treatment journey.

While sharing how she discovered cancer, Helbig urged fans to care for their bodies and listen to the little voice inside. Helbig listened to her voice which led to the early detection of the cancer. However, the news of getting cancer can be something that takes a toll on mental health. She said, “I couldn’t help but laugh after I got in the car after I cried about that”.

But the YouTube star has shared she will keep a brave front for her fans and return victorious. Furthermore, Helbig also stated that she will continue with her podcast through her treatment too.
