YouTuber Markiplier’s personal life is going through a tumultuous time for now. He is currently directing a horror film, Iron Lung, adapting the story from a video game of the same name. However, his movie has sparked controversy with the amount of blood being shown. Following that, Markiplier updated his fans about ending up in the hospital for his birthday.

However, after that incident, there has been radio silence from the YouTuber. On June 11, 2023, the YouTuber returned to inform his viewers of the significant events that transpired during his absence from posting videos. His update has brought forth a bittersweet reaction from the fans.

Markiplier shares the events that transpired while he was away

In his recent YouTube video, Markiplier started by saying multiple rumors about his whereabouts have been going online. He shed light on all those rumors by listing everything that happened in chronological order. After the details of his horror movie’s bloody scenes went viral, he had to be rushed to the hospital on his birthday. The YouTuber’s eyes got blood in them due to an unknown condition.

He continued, “I didn’t update talking about that because immediately after that I get a text from my mom saying that my grandma’s not doing well.” Markiplier immediately got on a flight to his hometown in Korea to visit his grandma. The 34-year-old shared with his fans that his grandma passed away the very next day. He further shared what an arduous time he had following the loss of a close family member.

“I do apologize for not having videos but at the same time I kind of don’t apologize for not having videos because I think all of you can understand that family will come first.”
