The cancer diagnosis put her in a tough spot, and there were even internet critics voicing negative remarks against the streamer. But she was unfazed and gave fitting replies to them. But being a public figure and having a medical condition can become quite problematic sometimes.
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer). I’ll be starting up treatment very soon. With that being said I’m not too sure how my body will react to the treatment so I do apologize in advance if my stream schedule isn’t consistent! Stay safe <3— Kyedae (@kyedae) March 3, 2023
The reason why Kyedae decided not to stream the shaving of her head was that the streamer did not want to profit from her illness.
“I feel like not everything needs to be shared on social media,” stated Kyedae. The 2022 Valorant Steamer of the Year award winner wants to keep these matters private at the moment. Additionally, in a stream, before she shaved her hair off, Kyedae stated she doesn’t know what mental state will she be in at that moment.
