Mortal Kombat 1 will be playable on all last-gen consoles as well as the Nintendo Switch. However, the decision to make it available on the Switch seems to be something that fans aren’t happy with. The initial images of MK1 on the Switch have drawn the ire of fans who have taken to social media to lambast the Switch version. Players expected to see some stunning character designs since some Hollywood stalwarts like Jean-Claude Van Damme set to feature in the upcoming release. And yet, as the images emerge for the Switch version, fans can’t help but be flabbergasted at their shocking quality.

The latest NetherRealm title is expected to have a similar impact on the community as its predecessors. However, looking at the Switch version, players can’t help but be a little sceptical about the whole idea of playing Mortal Kombat 1 on the console.

NetherRealm Studios’ latest entry to the fan-favorite fighting game franchise created a lot of buzz in the community. The last installment was received incredibly well. And Mortal Kombat 1 looks to carry on its legacy further. Multiple trailers have been released over the past few months and fans have been going nuts with how neat everything looks in the Outworld. While the game will be available on all consoles, it may not turn out to be the wisest decision by the devs. After so much work going into it, you’d think the game would look pristine on every platform, right? Wrong!

A fan has shared a few snippets of Mortal Kombat 1 on the Nintendo Switch and fans are clearly not happy.

While the Switch is more or less able to run the most demanding games without much hassle, it looks like Mortal Kombat 1 may be pushing things too far on the 2017 console. Johnny Cage, Li Mei, and Scorpion look like a big step down and the fanbase isn’t having it.

Nintendo Switch version shocks players

Understandably, fans aren’t happy with the results. They can’t decipher the necessity to make Mortal Kombat 1 playable on a 6-year-old handheld console.

Tyler thinks his skills with a play-doh are better compared to Mortal Kombat 1 character on the Nintendo Switch.

While most players are excited about the new MK title, this fan thinks the Switch version is embarrassing. With the graphical advancements of consoles like the PS5, the switch version is nowhere close.

This fan is of the opinion that the Switch graphics for the game are on par with the PS2 at best.

Another user claims he’s never had a lot of hopes from the Nintendo Switch. He views the console as something that should be catering to Nintendo games only.
