100 Thieves CEO Nadeshot has slammed Call Of Duty League haters who claim Warzone tournaments to be much bigger in the scene.

Activision’s Call Of Duty stands as one of the biggest AAA titles of all time. It shelters thousands of gamers that span their interest across various titles in time. And well, this has helped the competitive scene to skyrocket while inviting the best of the best to showcase their skills. Since 2007, Call Of Duty has run its competitive run hosting million-dollar tournaments for its players.

But as time passed, the COD scene evolved drastically with the introduction of Call Of Duty League and Warzone tournaments. Still, the CDL remained one step ahead of Warzone as its hype was never-ending. However, that did not sit well with some of the pros as they trash-talked on how CDL numbers had dropped and people were not interested in it anymore. So, to help understand how massive and important competitive Call Of Duty was and always will be, Nadeshot sparred some words for these haters.

Is Call Of Duty League losing out to Warzone tournaments?

On their latest episode of ‘Courage and Nadeshot show’, the duo featured themselves in a new setting. This time they had a conversation about the happenings in the esports world while chilling at Miami Beach during the F1 Miami Grand Prix. It was a one-hour-long podcast that spoke about various things trending in the industry.

But one thing took the spotlight, and it was one of Nade’s favorite topics. During a conversation with Courage, the 100 Thieves CEO spoke about a video from COD pro, Joe. One can see the clip for visual aid:

As seen above, Joe claimed Warzone tournaments have earned much more credibility and popularity compared to the CDL per se the COD competitive scene, as people did not want to watch them anymore.

Reacting to it, Nadeshot said, ” Competitive Call of Duty has been here since 2007. Warzone did not chug along and arrive at a doorstep until what 2020? So that’s 13 years of history here.” Then, he also spoke on how the competitive scene is much bigger than Activision, as it has its own recognition, establishment, and more. So, based on that, Nade believed, “You cannot touch competitive Call of Duty.”

Last but not least, Nadeshot stressed how two out of the five CDL Majors clocked the highest viewership numbers that could also be considered the most in competitive COD history. So, according to the 100 Thieves CEO, Warzone competitions do have decent traffic but have no relation to overtaking the CDL or the entire competitive scene.
