Long-time rivals, Triple H & Bret Hart have never seen eye-to-eye. The rivalry between the duo can be traced all back to the ’90s long before the attitude era was even born. The infamous ‘Montreal screw job’ which took place in Montreal, Hart’s hometown, against Shawn Michaels may have played a key role in instigating this feud.
The duo has worked together in the WWE, but their relationship has always been anything but pleasant. In a throwback interview on Bret Hart’s Radio Podcast, the WWE legend shed light on the horrible WWE 2k16 rating that downplayed him greatly as compared to his rival, reigniting the feud again.

He said, “I like the new one. I have some discrepancies with the new game a little bit though. I just went to the thing, last must be last fall when the games coming out, the 2k one. And they were telling me, how that I am 85 and Triple H is 98. I remember I was like, ‘why would he be a 98?’ And they go, ’cause he is the boss and gotta suck up to the boss’. He was laughing about it. It kinda pissed me off. I don’t care how many titles Triple H wins, he will never lace my f***g boots, period.”

Bret Hart still dislikes Triple H to this day
WWE 2k22 has redeemed the epic failure of the previous iteration, but sadly same cannot be said about the two WWE veterans. Both professional wrestlers have retired from in-ring competition and are currently enjoying life beyond the squared circle. However, neither of have has hasted out their difference, and it seems like this feud will find no closure.
According to a report by The Sun, Hart still doesn’t see anything special about his arch-nemesis. He accused him of riding the coattails of his father-in-law (Vince McMahon) which helped him to secure a top position in the promotion.

“And I never thought Triple H ever had an idea, original idea, for anything. And I always thought he was overrated. The only reason people even know him or remember him today is because (of) daddy, daddy-in-law.”
