Call of Duty series is getting filled up with lots of nostalgic elements lately. From weapons to maps, fans have received tons of content in the current installment Modern Warfare II that reminds them of previous titles.

And now, players are in for a major treat. Some of the recent rumors have suggested that Call of Duty: MWII will soon receive another throwback element. What makes this news interesting is that this time, an Operator skin based on an iconic character will be introduced. He is none other than Captain Price himself!

How will players obtain the iconic Captain Price Operator skin in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II?

Ever since the inception of Modern Warfare sub-series, Captain Price has been a recognizable figure among the franchise lovers. His significance is simply unmatched compared to any other character. Price was originally seen in 2003’s Call of Duty title from developer Infinity Ward. Now, he is expected to make a special comeback in the latest installment.

Currently, actor Barry Sloane plays Captain Price in the rebooted MW franchise. Considering that, it will be fascinating to see him in the appearance of the original Price’s skin. Based on a latest speculation, it seems like an event celebrating 20th anniversary of Call of Duty will be unveiled soon. And that it will reportedly give players a chance to obtain the legendary Captain Price Operator skin.

The event is likely to have daily challenges and users will be able to receive exciting rewards upon completing them. One of the rewards also includes the Operator skin of Price inspired by COD 1 and 2. Which means that the skin will be free instead of coming as part of a purchasable bundle in Call of Duty: MWII’s store.

Meanwhile, a large section of the community is looking forward to a brand new installment. It is scheduled to arrive later this year. Well, it’s none other than MWII’s direct sequel, Modern Warfare III.

So far, developer Sledgehammer Games has revealed that its upcoming project will bring back the nostalgia with 16 classic maps. Basically, they will be remastered versions of the maps from 2009’s original MW2. Apart from this, the awaited game will also have improved movement mechanics. Per the makers, they will be faster and smoother this time.

Oh, and there’s also the Carry Forward feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. It will enable the users to keep their purchased items from MWII in the next title too. For example, they will be able to continue their weapon camos, Operator skins, emblems, and stickers.
