Already, there are several theories that Malice might play a prominent role in the upcoming Zelda. Further, there are reports of some surprising elements such as aerial exploration along with combat, and time travel. So why don’t we dig a little more to discuss these two features?
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features aerial exploration and combat
The trailers released so far have given us a hint that the upcoming Zelda title will feature a lot of aerial exploration. The entire map of the Hyrule kingdom would be explorable not only from the ground but also from the sky. The clips also revealed floating islands with mysterious temples, which might be the equivalent of the shrines in Breath of the Wild.
However, exploration by sky might not be the only aerial feature of this game. The Tears of the Kingdom might potentially include aerial combat, allowing players to fight in the air. They might employ the stone bird-like vehicle from the trailer for aerial combat against enemies with flying abilities.
The upcoming Zelda title might have time travel
Tears of the Kingdom teasers have also hinted at two different looks for the protagonist Link. In one, he appears dressed from the time period in which the game is set. However, there is a different appearance that seems to be a Link from a previous life.

So, Tears of the Kingdom might offer a similar feature where players can travel between two time periods rather than two worlds.
