Microsoft has had a history of experimenting with the Xbox design and its looks, especially while doing collaborations for special occasions. One such moment took place almost six years ago, during the launch of Forza Horizon 3 when the company did something forgettable, to say the least.

Microsoft’s division in Germany ran a contest for the fans in 2016 ahead of the release of Forza Horizon 3. As part of this, it revealed a custom Xbox One S inspired by the Audi R8 supercar, which was one of the playable vehicles in the game.
This Xbox One S based on the Audi R8 was the top prize in the contest. The latter was only applicable to the German residents. But the custom console was so odd-looking that most the people were speechless about its appearance.
Speaking about it in detail, then the console even had a custom controller inspired by Audi’s car. The controller had a big red stop and start button instead of the Xbox button. There were leather inserts as well on both the sides.
However, it was the console that was the topic of discussion among many people on social media. It was quite evident that not everyone was a fan of this weird Audi R8 Xbox One S edition.
