Spider-Man 2 has plenty to offer. With a map that’s almost twice as big, players will be expecting a lot more for exploration. And the previous two games didn’t jut have a main story. There were side missions, ongoing crimes to stop, and additional activities like collecting bagpacks, photographing various locations, secret photo ops and more. So naturally, fans will be expecting a lot more from the upcoming game. Especially after everything that has been revealed.

Insomniac has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will take around 35 hours for completionists. This will comprise the main story, as well as whatever side missions and other activities the game will offer.

In an interview with VG247, Ryan Smith, Insomniac Games senior director said, “We don’t want this to be an 80-100 hour game, that’s not where we want to be. We want to tell amazing stories, the best we can.” Further, he said, “We want to make every mission really, really memorable. That’s our goal, rather than going super, super broad.”

The game’s main story will pit both the titular characters against the likes of Venom, Lizard, Kraven, Martin Li, the recently revealed Sandman and more. And the main story will also heavily revolve around the Venom symbiote and how it will affect Spider-Man. Harry, MJ, Ganke and Rio are all set to have important roles to play as well.

While the game clearly has so much to offer, fans will surely want a dlc too. However, as of now, there’s no dlc, unlike the first game. Spider-Man got The City That Never Sleeps which offered more gameplay hours, a new story, and a new villain. So similarly, fans can cross their fingers and hope Insomniac Games does something similar again.

Black Cat,  Silver Sable, and Yuri Watanabe were all pivotal to the story. Interestingly, the events in the dlc with Yuri put her on a dark path which will see her return as Wraith in Spider-Man 2.

Completionists required around 9 hours to complete the DLC which included a main story, side missions and activities like beating Maggia hideouts.
