The video starts with Karl revealing to the audience that playing video games is his favorite hobby. Thus, his interests have brought him to ‘VideoGamesNewYork’, a retro and Japanese video game boutique. As he correctly remarks upon entering the store, there’s a lot of games here! The selection runs the gamut from Sega Genesis to the original Xbox and more.

He reveals Sonic was the world to him, back in the blue blur’s golden days. Significantly, he names Sonic 1 and 2 as some of the titles he has played in his lifetime.
As he browses around, he comes across titles like Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, and Dynasty Warriors. All of which occupy a special place in his heart. But he reveals an endearing memory involving his mother when it came to the seminal Genesis classic, Streets of Rage.

This massively popular arcade-style beat-em-up brings back a wave of nostalgia for most gamers. And Towns is no different.

“Streets of Rage was big with me,” he said. “Me and my mom used to play that almost every other day when we get a chance. We never beat it. You had to get it in one shot, there’s no continues, there’s no more quarters. We got to the end twice in our lives and we lost. So my mom let me down.”
