If you are a fan of Red Dead Online, the multiplayer off-shoot of the massively successful Red Dead Redemption 2, the past few months haven’t been good to you. The #SaveRedDeadOnline campaign is a testament to player dissatisfaction with the state RDO has found itself in. While GTA Online has seen stellar treatment from Rockstar Games in comparison, players in the Wild West have seen their beloved title atrophy.

This dissatisfaction has manifested in several ways, from disgruntled posts on forums to the aforementioned hashtag on Twitter. Fans have been aching to see Rockstar Games reinvigorate this fan-favorite title. But these efforts have largely been in vain, and despondent fans slammed Rockstar on their recent Twitter post.

Red Dead Online fans slam Rockstar Games

For the uninitiated, RDO fans have been campaigning for the developer to reinvigorate the multiplayer title. Its sister game GTA Online has proven itself to be quite the golden goose for Rockstar; accordingly, it has been the focus of the developer’s efforts. What this means for RDO fans is while GTA Online received seven colossal updates, RDO was left in the dust.

Significantly, the Diamond Casino Heist, Cayo Perico Heist, and The Contract were major updates for GTA Online, which gave players immersive new locations and content. However, RDO saw its weekly events transition into monthly ones and did not receive its major December update.
