11) Snape in the Room of Requirements
Professor Snape is one of the most revered characters in the Harry Potter franchise. And it is no wonder we got to see his touch in the game as well. When you first go to the Room of Requirements with Professor Weasley, you will find a portrait that tells you to quiet down. Near that portrait is a jack-in-the-box toy that has Snape’s doll inside.
10) The Fantastic Beasts dolls
The additions post the release of the final Harry Potter movie was Fantastic Beasts. The wizarding world took a unique turn and gave viewers a different point of view with this adventure. Interestingly, you can spot a reference to this at the beginning of the game. When you are navigating around ruins, near a ledge, you can see dolls that resemble the characters Newt befriended in the Fantastic movie franchise.
9) Hagrid’s magical creatures’ motorbike adventure
This was first spotted when shared by a user on TikTok. The Universal Studios Orlando ride has inspired the creation of an area in the Hogwarts Legacy. West of Hogsmeade, players can find a place called Korrow Ruins. The stone artwork, the entrance, and many aspects of the ruins are inspired by the Universal Studios site. Even the places where the ride takes us have been recorded in the game.
8) Forest Pond
One of the most goosebumps-invoking scenes of the movie Prisoners of Azkaban was when Harry cast the Patronus spell to ward off those Dementors. And fans will surely not forget the magical stag that appeared to save Harry. This area can be found within the game. And interestingly, your character will make a comment on a stag that is standing near the pond.
7) Dragon mural and the One-eyed Witch statue
When you are in the central hall, you can spot a mural of a dragon. If looked closely, wizards can notice a student playing near the dragon in the Mural. This is actually an indication of the motto of the school- “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus” which translates to “Never tickle a sleeping dragon.”
Moving to the grand staircase, you can spot the statue of a one-eyed witch. This was interestingly used by Harry to access a shop in Hogsmeade after learning about it in the Marauder’s Map.
6) Chess pieces
Players will obviously notice that there are a lot of chess boards across Hogwarts. If looked carefully, one can notice a pattern. That is, all the chess boards move the same way. This actually follows an established move-set called Fool’s mate. This is the way in which a chess game can be ended with the least number of moves.
5) Hagrid’s Hut
The character who loves Harry like his own son is none other than Hagrid. Throughout the books and the movies, we got to witness Harry and his squad, or even other characters, visit Hagrid’s Hut. This is situated on the outskirts of the school. Though Hagrid is not there in the game, his hut can be visited by the players. In the game, this place is where Beast classes are taught.
4) Dragons
There are a lot of creatures that the game offers to the players. And dragons are the rarest of them all. Though you cannot fight one in the game, sometimes you can see them flying around.
3) The cell on top of the Charms office
If players manage to get into the office near the charms class, they will get to see a spiral stairway. Climb that to reach an open rooftop. There, wizards will see a prison cage. And apparently, this is a Prisoner of Azkaban book reference. That is, in the books, Sirius Black was imprisoned in a cell near the Charms office, and this might be an Easter egg to that.
2) Deadly Hallows
This is an obvious one for the Potterheads, in the game players need to collect three of the Deadly Hallow equipment. The first magical object you get to see is the Cloak of Invisibility, then the Elder Wand, and finally the Resurrection Stone.
1) Basilisk
The highlight of the Chamber of Secrets was the Basilisk. And apparently, you can see it in the game as well. But for this, players need to be a boy avatar in the game. This is so because the sightings of the snake are near the girl dorms, and being a boy, you are restricted to enter that premises. And near the girls’ dorms at certain times, players could witness the Basilisk slithering by. The occurrences are random for this.
