Without a doubt, we can say that Hogwarts Legacy is one of the biggest hits of 2023. Amassing incredible numbers in sales, the wizarding adventure ticked all the right boxes to become a fan favorite. The game offers players a plethora of options through which they can explore the mystical Hogwarts land. But one factor that many players were disappointed at during the game’s release was regarding Quidditch. The popular sporting event of the Harry Potter world was missing in the game.

But now, the wizards are thinking that it was actually a good decision to not add the sport to the game. They also have some strong statements to validate their points.

Fan opinions – Why Quidditch would have been terrible in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most played games in 2023. One unique feature that the game offers for its players is the ability to navigate the open world on a magic broom. But, even though with the presence of the flying broom, Quidditch, the marque sport of Hogwarts, is not present in the game. And now it seems like fans are glad it is not available in the game.

The first reason that was pointed out in regard to Quidditch being a bad idea is related to the broom mechanisms themselves. Some feel that the flying mechanisms implemented on the broom are lacking something. Thus incorporating these into a larger-scale event like Quidditch is highly risky.

So what is a popular opinion that allows Quidditch to be a playable in-game feature?

One idea that can be ventured deeply is to create a Quidditch-only game. We have popular sports games like FIFA which have become a massive hit among the audience. A similar system that includes tournaments, transfer windows, rigid rules, and more would make an ideal Quidditch game.

Wizards will also be given the opportunity to play legendary Quidditch moments that were mentioned in the Harry Potter books as well. This is an interesting approach the developers can take. But the chances of this happening are very bleak. Especially as the makers would be more invested in working on their marque title.
