Hideo Kojima knows how to keep the hype going around his projects. While the news regarding his horror title Overdose is still fresh, the famous game designer recently revealed another surprise, leaving everyone shocked. Especially the hardcore lovers of Death Stranding.

Going by the early speculations, it looks like Hideo Kojima may soon announce the sequel to his 2019 blockbuster. At least the fans have now begun speculating about the possibility of having Death Stranding 2.

Mr. Kojima gave the world a futuristic, dystopian world of Death Stranding three years ago. It consisted of a plot showcasing the United States, suffering from a deadly cataclysmic event that caused destructive creatures to begin roaming the Earth. The game featured the now-iconic central character of Sam Porter Bridges.

Alongside the main protagonist, the popular game also had other memorable characters like Mama, Fragile, Cliff, Deadman, and Die-Hardman. The game eventually received mostly favorable reviews from critics, for its voice acting, visuals, and fantastic soundtrack. When there’s so much going right for a title, it’s bound to have a sequel, right? And that’s exactly what the fans are thinking now.

Recently, Hideo Kojima posted an image on his official Twitter account, showcasing three secret logos. “Start a new journey,” read the brief tweet. While the logos didn’t reveal anything specific, it seems like they are indirectly connected to Death Stranding 2, going by the reactions from most of the people on social media.

Several players have begun connecting the dots of the logos with several elements from the first part. All things considered, they are very much convinced that a sequel, in Death Stranding 2, might be announced during next week’s The Game Awards 2022 event.

“Welp, that has set my heart rate flying. Time to play death stranding again,” wrote one user on Twitter.
