The massively successful battle royale Fortnite has players completely hooked. One aspect of the game liked by the players is the vast variety of skins the game has to offer, and acquiring a new skin is something to which the player always looks forward. However, most of the time, the skins are behind a paywall.

Fortnite players can now rejoice in the knowledge Epic Games has announced that using the Refer A Friend scheme, and players can get exciting items using it.

How to get the skin

While the main focus of the scheme is the Rainbow Racer Skin, there are a plethora of other unlockable items available as well. These include a Pickaxe, Glider, Rainbow Racer Loading Screen, and a Weapon Wrap. The scheme was released on October 25. Here is how players can take a part in the event.

  1. Go to the Refer a Friend website.
  2.  Use the Epic Games credentials, which you use to play the game/log in.
  3. Send out an invitation to a friend who is eligible.
  4. Get the friend to accept the invitation.
  5.  Complete a few challenges with the friend invited.

For a friend to be eligible for the invite, they need to have played the Battle Royale version of the game for less than 120 minutes in total. And players who have not played the game for a month are also eligible.

The invites are applicable till November, 14 following which the player has up till January 10, 2022, to complete the challenges.

Rewards offered for using Fortnite Refer a Friend

The challenges and rewards for this scheme are as follows:

  •  Add a friend- Gridlock Loading Screen
  • Play one game with that friend- Miridescent Weapon Wrap
  • Place in the top 10 three times with the friend- Flair Fare Glider
  • Eliminate 10 opponents with friend- Drive Shaft Pickaxe
  • Gain 60 levels alone and wait for friend to do as well-Rainbow Racer Skin

These challenges can only be completed in public battle royale matches. The only exception is the last challenge. With time slowly ticking, players only have a set of time before this scheme is no longer available.
