In the remake of Modern Warfare 3, players will get to play a 3v3v3 format. The game mode features 3 teams that will play against each other. In comparison to standard team-based modes, the developers have designed the mode to be more intense and competitive.

In Cutthroat Mode, each player gets one life per round. Once the game eliminates players, they remain out for the rest of the round. This introduces an element of tension and strategy, demanding that players exercise caution and make every life count. The primary objective in Cutthroat Mode is to eliminate the enemy teams or capture the overtime flag to win the round. This means the mode combines elements of Team Deathmatch and an elimination mode.

Players can enjoy this mode on the core multiplayer maps, including the revamped Favela, Terminal, and Skidrow within the game. The primary goal of the game is to eliminate enemy teams or capture the flag. The game mode is intended to reveal new strategies for surpassing the competition.
