Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is here and making fans gasp with its intricate game design. NYC looks stunning and just swinging across the skyscrapers feels incredibly satisfying. The game’s fast-travel system looks to make Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 a trendsetter in the industry. Further, keeping parity with an immersive storyline, the game also holds a ton of Easter eggs.
Along with hinting at a possible Doctor Strange appearance, other cutscenes show potential Spider-verse characters making an entrance. While the game is filled with many such scenarios and Easter eggs, here are the top 10 instances that can unfold to become something bigger in the future in Insomniac Games‘ latest release.

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, both spider-men can team up to take down the villains together. After successfully completing missions, both wall crawlers can embrace each other with a hug. However, in certain other scenarios, Peter Parker and Miles Morales can be observed to give a nod to the popular Spider-Man pointing meme.
When players approach the other Spider-Man, there’s a prompt which in this case is the triangle. The iconic way to greet other Spider-Mans has become famous across social media and this Easter egg just makes things more wholesome.
Shirtless Spider-Man returns
The 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man introduced the shirtless Spider-Man having a blast at a Halloween party. YouTube channel Kinda Funny Games’ hosts Greg Miller and Blessing appear on a rooftop of the Upper West Side in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 after months of requesting the devs to make the shirtless Spider-Man return to the game.
Insomniac seems to have taken notice of the fan request and the shirtless duo can be seen chilling out, just vibing to the sprawling city neighborhood.
Fantastic Four to show up?
On a highrise in Hell’s Kitchen, players can come across a helipad with a familiar logo. Marvel fans will instantly recognize the bright blue “4” symbol and the iconic group of superheroes it represents.
While we still don’t know if the Fantastic Four will show up in the game or if the Easter egg is just setting expectations for a future game, the location is a place that fans of the franchise will definitely want to check out.
Wakanda tribute
The Wakandan embassy was also previously an Easter egg. However, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has added a new detail to the location that reeks of emotion.
If you’re playing as Miles Morales and reach the location, you will see Morales doing the Wakandan salute and saying “Wakanda Forever.” Further, after reaching level 25, players can also unlock the Black Panther-inspired Forever Suit. The suit’s design takes inspiration from the obvious source and feels like a touching tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman.
Coney Island offerings
Coney Island in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the locations that has tons of Easter eggs. Players can complete mini challenges to win goofy prizes. Moreover, players can also reach the baseball field and run through all four bases in order to receive a home run celebration being announced through the stadium audio systems.
Some of Spider-Man’s lesser-known enemies like Big Wheel and Speed Demon also make a subtle appearance in the game as names for carnival rides.
Daredevil’s silent departure from Hell’s Kitchen
In Marvel’s Spider-Man, players could find a Daredevil Easter egg in the form of Nelson and Murdock’ office. Further, one of the bagpack tokens contained a Nelson and Murdock calling card. In the game, when players open it, Peter questions how if he was blind, did he know that he was Spider-Man?

However, the characters did not ultimately appear in the game and an eviction notice could be seen pasted on the door. Now, in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the same office can be found but without the nameplate on the front. It looks like the legal experts have taken their leave from Hell’s Kitchen.
Removed cinema theatre
Cinema theatre from the first game made quite an impression by being used as a prop for a fan to propose to his girlfriend. However, the Easter egg in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 took a dark turn.
Shortly before the release of Insomniac Games’ latest title, the couple broke up and now the theatre is replaced with a heart clinic. Quite the heartbreak!
Real brands in Times Square
While roaming around in Times Square, players can be blown away by how well-designed the shops look. While a closer inspection reveals that most of these shops are for knock-off brands, players can also notice an Adidas store right at a corner. This shop also displays some real apparel that lends an element of reality to the game.

All of Brooklyn is accessible
In the previous games, players could not access Brooklyn. However, in the new release, the entirety of Brooklyn is up for visitation.
While there, fans who have watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse can recognize Miles’ school, the Visions Academy, and other such locations.
Peter’s bedroom
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players will be taken aback by just how many Easter eggs can be found in Peter’s childhood bedroom. On the wall, a picture inspired by the cover of the first Spider-Man comic book can be found. Along with that, a science award signed by the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, can be seen acknowledging Peter’s genius from a young age. That’s not all. At the back of a spray can on Peter’s table is a hidden message for those who have taken enough time to explore every nook and cranny of the room.
