One of such surprises was regarding the greatly anticipated video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. According to PlayStation, the upcoming title is going to have the fan-favorite Master Splinter when it eventually arrives.

PlayStation shared the information on their Twitter handle and also revealed to the fans the appearance of Master Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

TNMT: Shredder’s Revenge will be a new addition to the iconic and classic arcade saga. When it comes to Master Splinter, then he has been among the most celebrated characters for all those who have played the past games in the series. Being much aware of this fact, the PlayStation team has decided to feature him in the next installment.

While sharing the information in the PlayStation blog, Eric Lafontaine, Marketing Manager of Tribute Games mentioned that they wanted to add Master Splinter as a main playable character for a long time. And with TNMT: Shredder’s Revenge, that vision is finally about to become a reality.

The blog further tells fans that, “Tribute Games and Dotemu are thrilled to offer the possibility to take the Turtles’ sensei from a more passive character to a fully-fledged playable fighter!”

Speaking of what players can expect, then Splinter will possess various moves. The rat’s attacks, jumps, and slides will remind fans of the nostalgic era when they used to play the arcade game in their childhood.

With the latest PlayStation reveal, Splinter becomes the sixth playable character in TNMT: Shredder’s Revenger. He will join the previously announced roster consisting of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, and April O’Neil.
