Seeing the popularity of this series, it won’t be surprising to see God of War references in other famous pop cultures like movies and TV series. Fans already witnessed a crossover between Rick and Morty as the father-son duo of Kratos and Atreus. Once again, fans spotted a new God of War reference in a famous superhero movie series.

Drax from the Guardians of the Galaxy is now the God of War Kratos

When we talk about superhero movies, the first movie titles that come to our heads are the Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU movies. They have offered many incredible films and TV series, but one of the absolute fan-favorite was The Guardians of the Galaxy.

MCU released a 41-minute-long Christmas Special episode about The Guardians of the Galaxy. In this special episode, Drax and Mantis visit Earth to find Kevin Bacon, as they want to take the actor to their friend Peter Quill/ Star-Lord as a Christmas Present.

But on this adventure, they visit an amusement park. The majority of people there confused them for cosplayers who portrayed fictional characters. Among the many people who took photos with the duo, a lady confused Drax (played by Dave Bautista) for Kratos. She told her kids, “We got a picture with the God of War.

Fans couldn’t stop laughing while finding a unique similarity in this scene

This scene was an absolute gem for both MCU and God of War fans. They didn’t expect this reference in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. So they couldn’t stop laughing at this joke. But there was one fan who spotted a unique similarity between both the characters.

A fan claimed Kratos and Drax are similar in some manner, as both had wife and daughter. Further, both characters use two knives to kill (it seems Blades of Chaos can be used as knives). Undoubtedly, it was an unexpected similarity that no one might have thought of.
