TLOU has recently been getting recognition worldwide. The boost in sales easily hints at the fact that people who might have not played the game in the first place, are indulging in experiencing the post-apocalyptic world from the perspective of a player. While the fans are enjoying the viewer’s perspective, they can also enjoy the view that Google has for them if they search the four magical words (The Last of Us).

Brought forward by the Reddit user u/hybroid, if one searches The Last of Us on Google a red button would appear at the bottom of their screen. If not instantly, then after a few seconds, or scrolling up and down, a button would appear. By clicking the red mushroom button, one would see fungal growth taking over their screen.

Continuously clicking the red button would result in a much aggressive growth taking over almost all of your screen. For all of you thinking that it would take over all your tabs, the visual would be limited to the tab on which you search ‘The Last of Us’ (not case sensitive). Another point to note is that it will happen on both, mobile and desktop/laptop browsers. After multiple clicks, one can see a fungal portrait forming on the screen as shown below:

After this easter egg hit the internet, people cordially agreed it to be a cool feature. A person said, “I got it to cover my whole screen except for a slit in the middle. Now that’s some creative marketing!” One can see other reactions below:
