The Last of Us series has gained the status of a classic ever since the first game was released almost a decade ago. From 2013 till now, the PlayStation exclusive saga has come a long way. So much so that fans are now looking forward to the first-ever live-action adaptation of the memorable journey featuring Joel and Ellie.

HBO will soon release The Last of Us TV show next year, with a star-studded cast comprising Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. So far, there was no footage revealed from the awaited project. But just recently, a new clip for HBO Max service has offered the very first look from the show. The reactions to the footage are phenomenal, to say the least!

The Last of Us fans want the HBO series to drop as soon as possible!

HBO just released a fast-paced promotional trailer for its streaming platform. The clip showed tons of upcoming titles, but the highlight was saved towards the end of it. To everyone’s surprise, the makers of The Last of Us live-action TV series unveiled the first look in the form of a brief teaser.

Actor Pedro Pascal shows up as Joel Miller, along with Bella Ramsey, playing the role of Ellie Williams. Moreover, we also get a glimpse of Nick Offerman as Bill. However, it was Pedro’s dialogue that really stood out as he nearly sounded like his video game counterpart. This is what the fans themselves started mentioning as soon as they watched the teaser again and again.

It looks like the first look has already swayed most of the hardcore lovers of The Last of Us. They can’t believe that Pedro not just looks almost identical to Joel from Naughty Dog‘s iconic gaming series, but even sounds like him. All things considered, they are sold already, and want the show to hit HBO Max as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, The Last of Us franchise will also witness the arrival of a remake of the original title. It will launch next month for the PlayStation 5 with enhanced features and overall graphical improvements. The game will be available for a price of $70 when it marks its debut on September 2, 2022.
