When Nintendo 3DS was unveiled at E3 2010, all the fans rushed immediately to pre-order this console. The 3D features of this console with glasses, along with the Nintendo Network, were a major selling point. It was also one of the first consoles to support augmented reality using its 3D cameras.

Even after a decade since its release date, the demand for this console has still stayed up. This is due to it having some timeless classic games for itself, like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Mario Kart 7.

In a recent Reddit post gone viral, a Canadian seller asked for a bizarre amount of money for his Nintendo 3DS plus games and stylus. They asked for 300 Canadian Dollars which is about 222.28 US Dollars.

Apart from this high asking price, what surprised fans more was the state the 3DS was in. The seller had mentioned the condition of this console to be Used – Good. But the images of the console stated otherwise. The images showed heavy wear and tear to the console.

This high ask and contradictory statements from the seller have made him the target of Reddit trolls. But some innocent fans were still wondering if 3DS is now a rare console.

This confusion among fans that the console is a rare one started due to the closure of the Wii U and 3DS eShop. With no new games coming to these consoles, many fans were wondering if 3DS has become a collectible console nowadays.
