The Call of Duty series had an amazing year in 2022 with the grand launch of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2. The two offerings from Activision are very much interconnected this time in more ways than one.

When it comes to Warzone 2 specifically, then it’s a lot different from its 2020 predecessor. This is primarily because of a newly introduced mode in DMZ. It was unveiled by the makers as a unique experience for Call of Duty fans. That’s because of its format, which is contrary to the regular battle royale. Lately, it’s been observed in many online matches of DMZ that players have become more aggressive. They are targeting other players instead of teaming up with them to complete the missions. This was the USP of this mode when it was initially revealed by the devs. The slower pace, combined with the options of looting and finishing given quests, was something many users were impressed by.

However, this approach has gradually changed in Call of Duty Warzone 2. Considering the recent behavior of the players, they are seen engaging more in PvP activities of taking down other Operators. But that’s not what the devs would want for this mode. Hence, they should start working on a clear strategy to keep it alive, interesting, and, most importantly, unique.
