There have been tons of live-action adaptations of famous gaming titles so far and most of them have been underwhelming. Nowadays, fans take every new announcement for any gaming-based project with doubtful curiosity. And the newly released Halo TV series trailer has proved that once again.
Halo is an upcoming show, set to debut on Paramount Plus service in March 2022. While its first look, which was quite brief in duration, took the fans’ attention, the just-revealed trailer did nothing like that. In fact, it seems to have flipped the emotions and failed to impress them for the better.

Halo TV series trailer leaves fans upset and “ruined”
One needs no deep explanation when it comes to why Halo has become a beloved saga in the last two decades. Ever since its inception, gamers have fallen for its grand design, exceptional story, and of course, Master Chief and Cortana.

So when it was initially announced that Paramount is working on a live-action version of the Halo series, hardcore fans were in doubt. Mainly because of the poor track record of a majority of video game movies and shows in the past turning into massive failures.

However, when an exclusive and short teaser was first unveiled at the end of 2021, some fans still had some hopes. They were expecting to finally get an amazing and faithful live-action adaptation of their favorite Halo gaming saga with the Paramount Plus TV show.
Sadly, now it looks like the result won’t be as good, for those who were expecting too much.
As soon as the trailer launched for the Halo series, the majority of the people on social media began dropping their honest feelings. And it won’t be an exaggeration to say that most of them didn’t like what they saw.
Halo TV series trailer resulted in a serious outcome on Twitter. While only a handful of people were praising the first official clip from the show, the rest of them didn’t waste any time in tearing it apart. Especially when it comes to expressing their angst against the appearance of Cortana in the trailer.

you're telling me a professional VFX team couldn't get an incredibly basic colour filter to work? pic.twitter.com/EfPq09QCRX

Doesn’t matter if it isn’t canon? You can’t take something that’s spent 20 years with two main characters and then change the voice actor for one and mess up the visuals on the other.

Yea if they weren't gonna keep it in line why even do chief n cortana, they can do literally anything else n it wouldn't be so jarring 😂

What did you do to Cortana?! pic.twitter.com/DXHCJPN2cM

I mean it's hard to get the visuals WRONG, it's halo, the series doesn't look interesting at all

Man, they put 110% into everything else, only to reach Cortana and go, “Meh, that’s good enough.” pic.twitter.com/8OXVcI1OwZ

This is a huge slap in the game to the halo fans. You have dozens of books for lore and went with a story that has no relation to the games or books. How is this going tonget people interested in the ExU. I hope this DOES get canceled after the 1st season

Halo 4 Cortana was the best looking Cortana, every design after Halo 4 gets progressively worse than the previous one. And yes I know this is Jen and I mean nothing ill to her, it's just this design is so uncanny.

The original Halo storyline with Chief's origin and the tragedy of Reach deserves to be told in a tv series or movie. This just makes me sad as a fan. It's like a CW reimagining.

Cortana's not blue.
You didn't use the Chief's voice.
You used a terrible cover of I can feel it coming, as if Halo didn't have a recognizable piece of music attached to it.Why do you guys keep making things fans have begged for and then go out of your way to alienate the fans?

spend so much on visuals only to have a crappy non canon story, not worth watching pic.twitter.com/ob1rm1BUqq

I'm sorry I really tried to enjoy this trailer but I just hated it well some aspects of it like
1. Master chief voice its bad its doesn't come near the original voice actor😔.
2. Cortana need a better design
3. Music reminds me of other action movies nothing close to halo…— rogelio valdez (@rpvaldez9) January 31, 2022
Seen a lot of people complain about Cortana but not much about the music.
Some of the most iconic game music ever made is from Halo, and yet they chose to use a Phil Collins cover…
