In a candid series of answers, the makers have hinted at an imminent release of the upcoming Halo Combat Evolved restoration. 

343 Industries Working On To Restore Halo: Combat Evolved

A few months back the creators had decided to shut its services on Xbox 360. The mod team Digsite has been collaborating with 343 for the past year, as noted by PCGamesN. As per the official statements made public, the restored data involves unseen multiplayer maps, tags, unexplored designs, and setups. The makers also confirmed the redesigning of the existing maps for the better use of the cut version’s textures. Also, there are plans to restore the vehicles and enemy types as an RTS restore.

Fans were thrilled after the statements surfaced on social media. The gaming community believes it’s redemption time for the popular action adventure. “Gearbox had made a bunch of brand-new textures that were not being used whatsoever”, quoted a member of the creative team. Although there is no accurate estimation of the completion of the project. Fans are speculating about the ideas to be implemented soon as the move marks a historic step towards preserving the culture of the old action format.
