The beta version of Halo Infinite was a great hit and gained a lot of praise from the players. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the full release of the game. The game is all set to release this winter, but the game’s file size is something to worry about.
If the recently leaked file size of the game is accurate, then players have to start clearing up some space if they want to play Halo Infinite and start looking into some hard drive expansion options before the grand launch of the game.
A leaked image of the Microsoft Store Product on the internet shows that the total size of the Halo Infinite game is almost 97GB, which is huge, to be honest. However, it is not an official announcement, so nothing’s confirmed yet. For now, take the whole news as a leak only. It is not even clear if the file size will be the same on all the platforms or not. Well, it could be much different for PC.

The install size of Halo 5: Guardian is approximately 46 GB, so the comparison doesn’t make any sense at all. The total storage of Xbox Series X is 1TB SSD, but only 802 GB of that is usable. On Xbox Series S the storage is even worse, the usable storage of Series S is only 364GB.

Halo Infinite is not the Biggest Halo Game
Despite this humongous file size, Halo Infinite will not be the biggest Halo edition of the series when it comes to install size. Halo: The Master Chief Collection with a whopping 138GB size currently holds this honor. Of course, the 97GB is just the starting size, there will be a Day One update as well. Over time, the file size may also cross the 100GB mark easily once all the updates roll out.
The owners of the Xbox Series X are struggling a lot with the storage issue already and this file size is no help at all. Users may have to look into some upgrading options as soon as possible.

Well, the ease of upgrading SSD is that one area where Xbox beats PlayStation 5 completely. The process is quite simple, and it will give you an additional 1TB storage, but the pricing is quite high. Halo Infinite is all set to release this winter, but the specific date is still under the shadows.
