Halo Infinite still does not have a certified release date. The much anticipated 343 Industries title was supposed to release last year. However, there are still no words from the devs when this Xbox exclusive will come out. Keeping in accordance with most games that released in 2020, Halo Infinite faced developing problems due to the pandemic.

After the developers postponed the release which was supposed to take place with the Xbox Series X launch, they provided no alternative date. Jeff Guy and Mike Romero, the Producer and Development Lead for Halo Infinite respectively, recently gave an interview where they spoke about the game at length.

Social playlists and custom matches are open to all, you can play on any platform and any device with anyone you like. For ranked matches, we plan to restrict competitive playlists based on input type, not console versus PC. That’s because we believe the input is the biggest differentiator in gameplay ability (with things like aim assist on the controller or the precision of sniping with a mouse). You can play with a controller on your PC to play ranked with your console friends, or even mouse and keyboard on your console to play ranked with your PC friends.

The developers have still not revealed if Skill Based Matchmaking will play a part. Activision was under fire for a greater part of 2020 due to SBMM. Activision’s patent of its version SBMM went public, and it enraged the Call of Duty community. They were of the opinion that the particular SBMM that Activision uses is degrading towards the players.
