Back in 2018, Supergiant Games shook the world with their highly polished, innovative ‘Rough-Like’ with infinite re-playability, Hades.

The game redefined the genre with its deep character interactions, an infinite gameplay loop that doesn’t feel repetitive, and a wholesome (with some grim undertones) story.

Everything in the game was polished to perfection. The Music, character dialogues, and visuals were a breath of fresh air. It wasn’t surprising that the game received gleaming scores all across the board. With a 10/10 on stream and 93% on Metacritic, Hades stands as one of the best ‘Rough-Like’ games ever made.

The community lost their minds when Supergiant broke their record and announced their first-ever sequel for any of their games. And unsurprisingly, it was for their masterpiece, Hades.

According to their reveal trailer at the game awards, this sequel will feature the other offspring of Hades and Persephone, Melinoe. Just like Zagreus in the first part, Melinoe is also an obscure deity of the Greek pantheon.

The possible new Gods of Hades 2

The Greek pantheon is vast, but looking at the previous game as a reference, there is some speculation about which gods may make their appearance in the new game, other than the ones already revealed in the trailer.

Iris: According to a Reddit user, the handmaiden of Hera, Iris may make her debut in the Hades universe as the next messenger God, just like Harmes in the first game.

Gaia: In the primordial Gods’ quota, like Chaos and Nyx, the mother of all creation, Gaia may make her appearance in the sequel. Redditor Ok_Blackberry_1223 thinks this may be a very possible addition.

Hestia: One of the most notable that was missing in the first game, Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and home, is one of the top contenders for the new guardian Gods in the sequel.

Hephaestus: in the previous game, the main boon for upgrading your weapons was Daedalus’ Hammers. But in the latest installment, the greek god of Fire and Forge may take that place as it “makes far more sense.”
