Elden Ring is the best game released video game last year, and it cemented that claim by winning the “Game of the Year” at The Game Awards 2022. This action role-playing game became an instant hit within the gaming community. The game’s unique concept and gameplay attracted gamers to try this title by FromSoftware. Further, Elden Ring sold over 20 million copies until February 2023.
But, the achievements mentioned above do not imply that this action role-playing game is winning awards. Elden Ring took home two additional awards at the recent BAFTA Game Awards. However, many fans were left with raised eyebrows because it won one award in the least-expected category.

FromSoftware frequently received criticism for the multiplayer components in their games. On comparing Elden Ring to many modern multiplayer, it lacked cooperative experiences and suffered from stability issues and balance difficulties. Further, this game competed against multiplayers like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, FIFA 23, Overwatch 2, Splatoon 3, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

Undoubtedly, it was hard for fans to believe this title won in the multiplayer category against the other nomination. Although, it isn’t also to be mentioned that fans hated the multiplayer aspect of the game. Some fans might have liked the unstable multiplayer system, which got this video game nominated and eventually win a BAFTA in the multiplayer category.
The best BAFTA Multiplayer Game Award winner baffled fans
The whole internet was in shock to see Elden Ring receiving the award from BAFTA for being the best multiplayer in 2023. There were a lot of fans who claimed spending hours in the multiplayer mode, but yet they also felt it wasn’t that great to get win this award. Fans even questioned BAFTA if they were sure about awarding the best multiplayer to FormSoftware’s Elden Ring.
I don't try PVP (no sens for me to play soul like in PVP) but the game is even not designed to be played in multi player it become to easy to down a boss, in addition to have complicate semon system and to dont have possibilty to play the whole compagne …. its juste a good solo

I love the souls game and elden ring and I’ve put hundreds of hours into the multiplayer and pvp but elden rings multiplayer is bad even by souls standards, which is infamously bad.
