The Insomniac versions of Spider-Man include many interesting hidden secrets that players can set out to find in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Even when it came to the first Spider-Man game from the studio, there have been many secrets that fans have come across. While Spider-Man 2 has its own set of Easter eggs, the return of an easter egg from the first game has the attention of the fans.

In the first Insomniac Spider-Man game, very few players have come across the Missile Easter egg by themselves considering it’s a hard one to spot. In the game, some players noticed hilarious inscriptions on the missiles launched at Spider-Man by enemies. With the Easter egg present in the first game, many fans are excited to see that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 brings the return of the same. A recent video on YouTube brings to light the easter egg that is “guaranteed to kill” Spider-Man.

Missiles Guaranteed to Kill Spiders in Spider-Man 2

Recently a video was uploaded to YouTube that has gained significant attention. In the video, the player uploaded some gameplay from the Marvel’s Spider-Man. The gameplay shows the player dodging enemy missiles. While dodging the missiles, the player pauses the game and goes into photo mode to showcase the easter egg.

Photomode pauses time so players can take a picture of the exact frame they want. Using this to their benefit, the player captures the tiny inscriptions on the missiles. The text on the missiles reads “Guaranteed to Kill Spiders” which many players found amusing as missiles are often considered an over-kill method to take care of tiny spiders.

This video received a lot of attention from the community and many went ahead to share their experience with the easter egg. Some stated the story of how they first encountered it and others pointed out how the studio was still using the same assets from the first game.

Spider-Man fans’ reaction to the Easter Egg

On the YouTube comments section, the user who uploaded the video pinned their comments to the top. In the comment, they mentioned how the studio just reused the same assets of the initial game. They went on to say that the easter egg is a cool addition to the game never the less. They went ahead and stated that they were sure that not a lot of players knew about the easter egg to begin with.

One user stated, “There’s someone at Insomniac just having the time of their lives coming up with these cool little easter eggs that they think no one will ever see.” By stating this, the user was trying to speak about the developer who was assigned the job of creating such easter eggs. By this, they were pointing out how fun the job must be to work on easter eggs that might go unnoticed by most players.

In the clip, fans got to see Spider-Man skillfully dodging all the missiles, even though they are guaranteed to kill spiders. One user pointed out how the weapon might be effective against spiders but not Spider-Man.

Another user commended Insomniac for working on such minor details to give fans an experience they will not forget soon. In the comment, they stated, “thats actually sick insomniac keeps little things like that in the game.”

“Well, it is the exact same asset. But still, whoever came up with that in the first place deserves a medal,” said one user who commented the developer who initially created the asset of the missiles for the first Insomniac Spider-Man game
