Rockstar Games made a serious mistake last year with the horrible release of the GTA Deluxe edition. The studio promised to bring the legendary GTA titles like Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA 3 back to life but the end result disappointed the fans. With hopes to correct that mistake and once again win over the community, the studio made a move with GTA V getting a next-gen release.

The next-gen title eyeing a March 2022 release, everything seemed right on track to bring everyone together once again. However, something has gone wrong already, as one fan took to Twitter to highlight the horrible state of physical copies and missing features. The developers didn’t add a manual or a physical copy of the map, which seems quite disappointing.

It is a noted fan worldwide, that gamers like to buy titles online and this practice outweighed the importance of physical DVDs. It simply makes everything a lot easier, games can be easily sent around the world without the hassle of keeping a tangible product safe. No wonder, even prominent studios taking an even lesser interest in stuffing these copies with goodies.

Some fans on the thread believe things have drastically changed and Rockstar isn’t what it used to be. This fan believes that the changing times and lackadaisical approach of the developers have made things quite grim.

Other fans argued that things aren’t so far gone just yet, as the trailer reveal of GTA VI will change everyone’s outlook. This legendary franchise is one of the cornerstones of gaming and not just RockStar Games. It gave birth to a whole new genre and is the most prized possession for Rockstar, which will ultimately carry them into the light away from dark times.

The community isn’t happy with the tilt towards the remake and remastering of older games. Fans want to see something fresh, something new but sadly those days is sitting firmly in the rearview mirror.
