Well, this was expected to happen, but not this soon. Rockstar Games’ gesture of tribute to its fans, the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition, is out of the Top 40 best-selling games already. The remastered collection made an exit from the chart just two weeks after its debut in the UK markets.
The boxed version of GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition saw lots of bad reactions since its release in 2021. And the unfavorable reviews only added a cherry on the cake, resulting in its disastrous performance. Industry tracker Christopher Dring dropped the big news in one of his recent tweets about the latest debacle of the GTA Trilogy.

GTA Trilogy is officially out of the UK sales chart
Following its stint of two weeks in the Top 40 chart in the UK, the Definitive Edition’s boxed version is entirely out of the list. Although it’s not a shock, there are surely many things to be pondered upon, especially for Rockstar Games.

The developer and publisher may have assumed that the GTA Trilogy would be a great idea to work upon. It seems like their decision to bring it up was the worst, at least going by the current state.
GTA Trilogy’s physical versions for PlayStation and Xbox were released right before Christmas, last year. Just a week after the debut, it had dropped to the 23rd spot following poor reviews. But now, it has totally disappeared out of the major list of Top selling games in the UK.
Despite the dismal reactions, it is still unbelievable to see such disappointing performance in sales from the GTA Trilogy. Because other entries in the beloved series like GTA V still keep emerging among the best-selling titles on a regular basis.

Upon getting constant backlash from the fans, Rockstar Games had even apologized officially, acknowledging the issues and problems in GTA Trilogy.
For interested players, the Definitive Edition is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Nintendo Switch.
