Rockstar Games is one of the most successful and trusted game developers of modern times. Every game they make is insanely good-looking and riddled with details. The best example is their most recent title, Red Dead Redemption 2. From the facial expressions of its characters to what they did to their horses, it was full of such details. All this, of course, is possible thanks to their game engine called RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Gaming Engine). And GTA 6 is set to use the latest version of it.
Rockstar Games keeps on improving it and adds more features too. Those features make their games more detailed and better-looking than any of their competitors. So surely GTA 6 will look epic.

GTA 6 is all set to use a number of never-before-seen features from RAGE 9
When GTA 5 launched back in 2013, it used RAGE 7, a custom proprietary engine made by Rockstar Games. Before that, it was also used in GTA 4. That version was based on Euphoria physics-based middleware. Eventually, Rockstar started adding more and more stuff to it and eventually made it whole.

This version was seen in GTA 5, and later, its upgraded version was in Red Dead Redemption 2. They named the Red Dead 2 version Rage 8. The version brought to the table an advanced, innovative AI, a new weather management system, volumetric lighting systems, and the implementation of Vulcan and Direct X 12. Now GTA 6 is going to be built upon RAGE 9, which would bring even more revolutionary features to its gamers.
- Real-time water physics simulation and much better vehicle deformation powered by better physics
- A much more realistic time management system
- Better rendering of textures, clouds, etc.
- And much improved artificial intelligence.

These are a nice set of features that might not seem very appealing right now but would look insane when seen in action. Here’s hoping the time to see comes soon enough.
The visual gap will be greater than ever.
It is being suggested that the graphical improvement from Red Dead Redemption 2 to GTA 6 will be much greater than it was between GTA V and RDR 2. And those who have seen the games in action know very well that the difference was huge.

Red Dead Redemption 2 improved over GTA V in every way imaginable. Currently, fans might not care about the visuals as much as they care about riding a horse in the streets of Vice City in GTA 6. One can hope to see both of these things come true when the game actually launches.
