GTA 6 Announcement Can Still Come This Year as Per New Info

Rockstar Games fans have been looking all over the internet for one speck of information on Rockstar Games’ next GTA title. This has not proven fruitful, given the fact that the legendary developer has yet to confirm anything regarding GTA 6 other than dropping a few vague hints through GTA Online or X. But several supposed leakers have taken it upon themselves to go on and play saviors providing these curious fans with some legit and some made up “leaks”. The most recent is the most interesting leak yet.

There was no GTA 6 announcement in October 2023. Fans kept on waiting, new rumors kept on coming, and supposed leakers kept on dropping baseless leaks. And some people even gave some weird descriptions of supposed GTA 6 trailers that were to come in October. All this never happened. But could it happen this year?

The latest rumor suggests the GTA 6 announcement is still possible later this year!

Rockstar Games is known for revealing their titles a good year and a half before they launch them. This period is often used by the developer and the publisher to create exponential hype regarding their upcoming titles. Giving interviews, and partnering with magazines such as Game Informer to showcase the best of their game, as they did with GTA 5 after its announcement. But the issue is there’s no announcement yet. But fans recently received an unofficial update regarding it very recently.

A very trusted Rockstar Games Insider known by the name Tez2 on GTA forums has hinted at the fact that the developer might be holding this upcoming announcement for a very special occasion. He has suggested that Rockstar Games would still probably announce their next grand spectacle at a later date, in 2023 itself.

This date would come either late November or early December, coinciding with Rockstar Games’ 25 anniversary. He also suggested that there was never a deadline for GTA 6’s launch date. He suggested that the developer only has an estimated release window, which might end up going beyond 2024.

He suggested “Several developers expect the release window to be in 2025. A spring release is what’s expected. But Rockstar aimed for a spring release for both GTAV and RDR2 in the past, which was eventually delayed to a fall release.”

It’s exciting to see these rumors come back with a bang. It’s only a matter of time before fans know the truth about it.

Its development is taking longer than expected

While fans await the announcement of this new game there have been several updates suggesting that although Rockstar Games is pretty far off in the production of GTA 6, many of the developers do not want the game to be revealed yet. They are still hard at work on it and they only want it announced when they make significant progress in its development.

This might be due to the new technologies that Rockstar Games has decided to implement in this game. The most significant being the newly developed animations that are said to be rivaling animations they showcased in Red Dead Redemption 2.
