But which is the best Zombies installment in COD history? Well, now we do have an answer to this question. Recently, fans came up with their favorite title, while expressing admiration for the best game featuring the undead.

Media outlet CharlieIntel recently posted a Tweet asking the fans to reveal their beloved Zombies title. The Tweet mentioned all the Black Ops installments, alongside other entries like World At War, World War II, and 2021’s Vanguard. As expected, the reactions of the players were quite mixed, as many of them revealed the names of various offerings.

Interestingly, though, it seems like one game, in particular, managed to attract a lot of favorable responses. This title is none other than 2020’s Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War from Treyarch. While there have been other amazing Zombies-based installments, Cold War seems to have swayed them the most.

It becomes quite evident from the reactions of the fans themselves. “Cold War was my first and best so far, grinded it to death lol,” wrote one passionate gamer on Twitter, praising BOCW’s Zombies.

As of now, the action franchise’s latest entry is Modern Warfare II. Following the release of Black Ops Cold War, fans have been waiting for the next offering featuring Zombies. Going by the rumors and leaks so far, players can expect to see the undead next year. Developer Treyarch is said to unveil the new Call of Duty in 2024. Furthermore, Sledgehammer is rumored to be working on it, assisted by other studios under Activision.
