God of War lovers are getting more reasons to celebrate and why not? The most anticipated title of the year, Ragnarok is finally going to make its way, ending the wait of all the hardcore players.

They must be even more delighted now as Santa Monica Studio just confirmed that God of War: Ragnarok has gone gold. This means it’s now officially set to arrive for the PlayStation 5 on its scheduled date!

Fans go berserk as God of War: Ragnarok gets set for November

When a game goes gold, it means that the overall work on its development is complete and it’s ready for large-scale production. Everyone might be aware already that the sequel will focus on Kratos and Atreus’ story. The father-son duo will embark on a new journey to each of the Nine Realms.

In God of War: Ragnarok, the two main characters will go through mythical landscapes while meeting allies and facing fearsome enemies, including Thor. Now that the game has gone gold, it also implies that there’s no chance of it getting delayed. November 9 is the date to watch out for. All the die-hard fans will be looking forward to its grand debut.

Speaking of the fans, they are even more hyped after knowing that their most awaited game is now ready to arrive next month. Many of the players and gaming enthusiasts expressed their joy on social media. “GOTY Incoming!” wrote one user, while claiming that the PlayStation exclusive will surely clinch the title of ‘Game of the Year’ in The Game Awards.

While its predecessor was released for the PS4 in 2018, the second installment will be available on the PS5 as well as the PS4. Moreover, it will be interesting to see when will the game make its way to the PC, just like the first entry. If the original’s PC port is any indication, the same pattern might apply to Ragnarok as well. This means it will also witness a PC release only after three to four years.
