“Gold Level Courier of the Komaniya Express”- Genshin Impact Teases a New Dendro Character From Liyue Named Kirara

Genshin Impact is set to release yet another new character into its heterogenous hero list. The RPG fantasy adventure of Genshin Impact began in 2020, with miHoYo introducing very limited characters into the mix.

The game has various standard characters whom travelers can wish for anytime in the game. But the highlight is always given to exclusive character banners. With each update, the game drops a brand new character into the Genshin world, or sometimes they rerun old banners on popular demand. Now a Dendro character is coming into this mix.

Genshin Impact: ‘Kirara’ the New Dendro Hero

The game is bringing in a massive update with 3.6. The update will feature some popular heroes finally making their way into the wish banner. These include Baizhu, the Bubu pharmacy pharmacist. In the latter half, Nahida is coming back to the wish banners after popular demands. Thus, the new Dendro character will come in the 3.7 version.

The new character’s name is Kirara. She adds to the current Dendro trend that Genshin has been following for a while.

She is from the Liyue region and works at the Komaniya Express. It is a courier service that is situated in the ‘business city’ of Mondstadt. From the reveal, it can be seen that her constellation is Arcella. Kirara is said to be ‘Nekomata’. In Japanese folklore, Nekomata is a mythical creature that largely resembles a cat. Apparently, most depictions portray it with two tails.

Though further details about the character are still not out, there are some aspects that have been rumored about the new character.

Weapon and Tier

According to various sources, Kirara will be a Dendro 4-star character. Though some speculated her to be a five-star hero, most reports points in the opposite direction. As for her weapon, Kirara will likely wield a sword.

This would mark the consecutive release of 4-star sword users in the game (Mika, the new 4-star character in the 3.6 updates also wields a sword). Apart from Kirara, there have been no official announcements for the 3.7 updates.

But there are many leaks that point towards some reruns happening in the future update. The first half of 3.7 is expected to include the rerun of Alhaitham and Yae Miko. While the latter half brings back Kaedehara Kazuha and Yoimiya. Though the news about these four reruns should be taken with a pinch of salt.
