God of War Ragnarok has flooded the internet. The newly released action-adventure game has become an absolute fan favorite. They praised the new God of War title for the plot, gameplay, and characters. Further, fans like the new characters introduced in the game.

However, the fans have started fighting over a new character, and it’s none other than Thor. There has been a lot of hype and excitement over Thor’s character since he was teased at the 2018 God of War ending. Now that the fans know this new character, they compare it to its famous variant from the Marvel movies.

After the release of God of War Ragnarok, fans started their war on social media. Many fans are sharing memes about how the Santa Monica Studio has managed to create Thor, who looks more like the God depicted in Norse mythology.

Thor is a Norse God of lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of mankind, hallowing, and fertility famous for his fury and strength. Many historians and mythology experts believe the men from the Norse culture or the people from the Viking tribes used to worship Thor while sailing to get his protection against storms while at sea.
The Marvel comics used the references of the Nose God of Lightning to create a superhero. However, Marvel’s Thor creators Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber changed many things about the character to make it suitable to become a superhero for kids. But the character became more famous when adapted into a movie, and actor Chris Hemsworth played Thor.
Why are fans fighting over Thor?
The main reason for the fight over Thor is the character’s personality and appearance. MCU presents Thor as this goofy, kind-hearted God who helped those in trouble. However, the GoW Ragnarok presented him as a cruel and violent God who slayed all giants in Midgard.

The fans also debate Thor’s appearance as the game presents him as a tall, fat man with red hair and a beard. Further, he has lots of tattoos and scars on his body. Meanwhile, MCU’s one is a tall, handsome man with long blond hair. However, many believe the game’s appearance is closer to mythology.

I think everyone is forgetting that Chris Hemsworth made Thor likeable like RDJ did with Iron Man. In my personal opinion, Iron Man and Thor and even Captain America were my least favorite characters to read in comics. These dudes made these comic book characters even more iconic
