Cory Barlog recently set an example of an ideal video game enthusiast. According to the Ragnarok producer and God of War director, people should indulge in all kinds of games from different platforms. A PlayStation spokesperson promoting Xbox and Nintendo Switch is very surprising but heartwarming too.

The war between PlayStation and Xbox fans is not expected to end anytime sooner or later. Both console brands are well-established with their unique range of offerings. However, fans always find it hard to leave their comfort zone in PlayStation and venture into the world of Xbox or vice versa.

This is true even with Nintendo Switch and PC. In fact, the feud exists between all four user bases, with fans regarding their favorite platform as superior to the rest.

God of War Producer promotes Xbox and Nintendo Switch

When a fan demanded Barlog to showcase a Ragnarok State of Play, he had a wholesome answer. As the fan (jokingly) threatened to switch to Xbox, Barlog urged him to play Xbox games too. “never limit your experiences.” he added. Alongside Xbox, Barlog also promoted PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Nintendo Switch houses some of the most intriguing exclusives of all time, including mainline Pokemon games, the original Mario franchise, The Legend of Zelda, and more.

On the other hand, Xbox has produced some of the best games of all time, including Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Sea of Thieves, Flight Simulator, and more.

Barlog was also seen ‘fanboy-ing’ over Starfield, an upcoming PC and Xbox exclusive.

Barlog urging fans to try out different experiences is a welcoming opinion in the endless feud among console enthusiasts. His opinion was a much-needed breath of fresh air.

Cory Barlog took his time to reply to anticipating fans

The much-celebrated Bloomberg report from earlier this month revealed PlayStation Santa Monica Studio’s plans to reveal a release date for God of War Ragnarok in June. However, the report now seems fictitious, as June is about to end.

Following the same, fans tagged Cory Barlog and others, demanding an explanation. Surprisingly, Barlog replied to many of them, and urged fans to keep patience. “we make games for you. we get to make games because of you.” he added.

Barlog wished a fan on his birthday, possibly giving him the release date as a gift.

God of War Ragnarok, a sequel to the 2018 title, is currently slated to release in 2022, possibly in November. The release date is yet to be announced which, as Barlog said, will happen as soon as possible.
