Baldur’s Gate 3 has been blessed with rave reviews since its release. The Dungeons & Dragons-themed title by Larian Studios has been received exceptionally well and fans are spending thousands of hours already. Thanks to its cross-saves feature, PC and PS users are making significant progress in the game. However, turns out there is a lot more to the feature than what meets the eye.

With players being able to save their game on multiple platforms, cross-save is fast becoming a defining feature of Baldur’s Gate 3, much like the devs had previously promised. Now, some players report that achieving the Platinum Trophy in BG3 on the PS5 can be pretty easy using this neat feature.

Larian Studios has promoted cross-saves as one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s most important features. If you want to activate the feature, you’ll have to make a free account with Larian and keep the account logged in when you launch the game. While the feature does have its benefits, it also helps to unlock the Platinum Trophy much more quickly on the PS5. Some players have been able to achieve the feat within hours of starting the game.

A fan has claimed on PSNProfiles that unlocking achievements using the cross-saves feature is a probable option. The user has apparently managed to unlock the “Critical Hit Trophy” after completing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5 with Tactician difficulty.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has 53 achievements for players to unlock and if you wish to use cross-saves to your advantage, you’ll need a number of strategic saves to do so. Loading saves is a good idea for those who are concerned with unlocking all achievements quickly. Yet, we believe that this wasn’t something planned by the devs, but is a side-product of the cross-saves feature itself. However, PS5 fans aren’t complaining.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is winning hearts

Since its release, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been hailed as a top contender for this year’s GOTY award. The devs also seem pretty focused on ensuring players have a great time in the game. The game feels great and there is a ton of stuff to do. Players are enthralled by how romance is so important in BG3 to help players on their journey. Furthermore, the game was released without early access, drawing appreciation to the devs’ old-school approach. BG3 has become Larian Studios’ biggest release so far and players can’t stop playing.
