The game library for Nintendo Switch keeps growing, and fans keep getting more and more games added to their backlog, but no one is complaining. And now, aside from all those original big-budget first-party Nintendo games, there is much more for fans to wait for and be excited about for the rest of 2023.

The biggest of these is still Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but a lot of rumors suggest that the success of Metroid Prime Remastered has encouraged Nintendo to go ahead with releasing more such games.

Metroid Prime Remastered was a blast. Everyone everywhere has been saying this exact thing ever since this game launched. Its visuals, its gameplay everything has aged so well that it became an instant success.

Now that this success has inspired Nintendo, they took their time releasing this remastered game on Switch. Everyone who leaked its launch has mentioned a number of times that this game and its two sequels have been ready for release since 2021. Nintendo kept delaying it for some reason.

Now similar sources are telling similar tales about some other GameCube titles; one is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a game that single-handedly made Mario RPG popular. This game too is said to be ready for launch. And it is anticipated that it will see a release soon, in a very similar fashion to Metroid Prime remastered. That is being shadow-dropped at one of the upcoming Nintendo Directs.

Then come games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD; these two are coming out soon too. Maybe Nintendo is holding them back so that they do not steal the thunder of Tears of the Kingdom.

And finally, F-Zero GX, Metroid Prime II Echoes, and Metroid Prime III Corruption might launch in 2023 themselves. One wonders how it is possible for all these games to launch in 2023 itself when Nintendo is also planning a new system’s launch.

These systems might co-exist with Switch acting as a cheaper option for people who want to enjoy these games. Some are suggesting Nintendo would bring down the price of this console and sell the newer one at a premium. It would sure be good for the fans to get their hands on these games. But it has to be seen how sooner or later this actually happens.
