Activision is leaving no stone unturned in marketing 2023’s Call of Duty to be the ultimate FPS experience. Yes, the current installment has failed to impress the community, but the publisher knows how to bring players back. Probably that’s the reason why the hype for the next premium is gaining strong momentum these days.

While there’s still time for Modern Warfare III to release, recent reports and rumors have turned it into a trending topic; especially when it comes to the expected price of this AAA title. Many people believe that Activision should not charge a full price as it’s barely a standalone game. That’s because they think it’s just a DLC based on its predecessor, MWII. Sadly, a recent update won’t end up pleasing those gamers who were hoping for MWIII to be affordable. Unfortunately, it’s not.

Media outlet CharlieIntel just recently took to Twitter to share very important news. Thanks to its sources, the website has now confirmed that Activision wants the full price for Modern Warfare III – no less than $70. Although the game is facing a controversial situation due to being called a DLC of MWII, it’s not going to be cheaper at all. In fact, the publisher has reiterated that CoD 2023 is not an expansion.

“As stated in numerous Activision Blizzard quarterly conference calls, Modern Warfare III is a premium release. It will be price accordingly at $70 USD,” read the tweet from CharlieIntel. The information was given to them by a spokesperson from Activision.

Well, this news means that players who are still interested in Call of Duty will have to burn their pockets. If they want to play Modern Warfare III, a premium price of $70 is what they will have to pay.

However, that’s not going to happen. It doesn’t matter if it’s actually a DLC or not. What matters now is the full price fans will need to spend in order to have a ‘premium FPS experience’.
