Just yesterday, Keighley mentioned that this year’s Gamescom will be more about updates of announced titles rather than new games being announced at the event. While the reveal did dampen the mood of many players, we aren’t complaining too much since two hours of the show announcing updates for the next year isn’t too bad a proposition either. However, new information has been divulged by Keighley himself that has fans’ attention once again.

Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert has made a lot of buzz thanks to its sneak peeks into the gameplay. From what we know, the game will have single-player and multiplayer options. The game’s expansive open-world setting is also expected to be a lot like Skyrim. Bethesda’s Skyrim is still hailed as one of the best open-world titles ever. If Crimson Desert is anything like Skyrim, we only have good feelings about it.

Gamescom has challenges, but devs also benefit from the event

Days back, Keighley revealed that the logistical challenges of hosting a gaming event in Europe are significant but the partnerships ensure that the event is pulled off without any issues. While getting to know about updates for games is something we look forward to. Having at least a couple of announcements as an add-on would not hurt.
