miHoYo’s masterpiece Gacha title, Genshin Impact is not a perfect game. It has its own fair share of problems and issues that have never been resolved. This lackluster approach, combined with a greedy monetization strategy, has finally taken a toll on the community.
The first-anniversary reward and event fiasco, followed by the update 2.2 live stream, has greatly disappointed fans. The community is not at all satisfied with the current state of things and the downtime between important updates has frustrated the players.

miHoYo doesn’t understand what Genshin Impact needs
The many problems that haunt Genshin lie in the way the studio operates. Fans have to wait for an entire year to see meaningful content being rolled out. This painstakingly slow pace of content creation and inadequate information about the future has brought the title into a grave situation.
miHoYo stands to lose a massive chunk of the player base following the latest drama and it seems like the title might die out. The recent version 2.2 stream failed to leave a promising impression as the upcoming content didn’t seem substantial. The addition of new mini-games and the finale, Inazuma island is a great piece of news but it won’t last throughout the patch.
In a matter of few weeks, players will exhaust the content, which will kick-start boring endgame. The entire world of Teyvat will soon feel like an empty dreamland with no active quests or tasks to pursue. This issue with the endgame has been hindering the playing experience since the very beginning, and it still remains unaddressed.

Moreover, there are critical issues with a range of characters that miHoYo has not looked into. Units like Amber, Kokomi, Xinyan, QIQI, and many more are no longer viable. If through sheer bad luck players get these units, then it makes the entire process of saving primogems and farming materials futile.
