Genshin Impact, the open-world action RPG from the house of Mihoyo, had seen the biggest international launch for a Chinese game. Following the success of Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin has already become the second highest-grossing app on the iOS app store in China, right after the Chinese version of Tiktok. After its huge success, devs at miHoYo are planning to release three updates for the game in the upcoming four months.

What’s in store for the upcoming months in Genshin Impact?

The upcoming months will see the release of 3 updates: 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Mihoyo will launch the 1.1 update on November 11. This update will include the Unreconciled Stars event and will add around four new characters. These new characters will include a Geo five-star and a Hydro five-star.

The game will get its 1.2 update patch right before Christmas, on December 23. This will probably be the largest update of them all. The 1.2 update patch will introduce a new area known as the Dragonspine and will include another event. Along with this, the 1.2 update will also add new materials to farm, new items to sacrifice to the statue and increase your stamina, and a new element for The Traveler. This update will most likely add new story missions.

The 1.3 update patch will release sometime around February 2021. This one will include the Lantern Rite event. However, we do not know much about what it will entail other than this event. Most likely it will add yet more characters and content to the game.

Genshin Impact has already built up its player base and currently is one of the most popular Chinese titles on Twitch.
