miHoYo has finally released the 2.4 update in Genshin Impact. Players are happy to receive a major update that contained a lot of content to cover, like Archon quest, new region Enkanomiya, characters, and much more. Developers also released two new characters with the update which are Shenhe and Yun Jin.

Although Shenhe is a very good Cryo support, players are still doubting her because her banner is followed by Zhongli. Several users claim Zhongli to be the best support character in the game. Zhongli- Best support character in Genshin Impact

Zhongli, also known as Rex Lapis, is a five-star character and commonly known as Geo archon in the game. Furthermore, he is the only character in the game to ever receive buffs in Genshin Impact. He was already amazing support before receiving buffs; however, after the launch of the 1.3 update, Zhongli became one of the most broken characters in the game.

Thanks to his kit, players were ignoring the importance of healers, and several players skipped Kokomi’s banner on purpose. Therefore, miHoYo introduced a new mechanic in the previous update, Corrosion. Corrosion is a Status Effect and Ley Line Disorder, where characters Corroded will lose a fraction of their HP every second.

Moreover, shields don’t work on Corrosion and once your characters are Corroded, you need healers to survive. Regardless, Zhongli’s elemental skill grants a very strong shield, which helps players tank a lot of damage. His shield is scaled with his HP and thus, most players only focus on increasing his HP so that they don’t have to worry about taking tremendous damage.

Other than his elemental skill, Zhongli elemental burst is very useful as well. He summons a meteor to smith his enemies in his elemental burst. The meteor deals massive Geo DMG to opponents and applies the Petrification status to them. After Petrification status is applied, all the enemies will be stunned for a moment, which makes it easy for you to eliminate them.
