Recently, Opera GX launched their very own female VTuber model named GX Aura. They created the model on the brand on which their browser is based. Aura, like the Opera GX browser, is into gaming and has a lively personality. They also dropped an announcement stream for the fans, which further piqued the excitement of viewers.

With the debut of their VTuber, Opera GX is looking to expand its audience further. And some would say the move has worked looking at the grand reception Opera GX got. The first-ever Twitch stream of GX Aura had over 80,000 concurrent viewers.

With this amount of fans showing their love for the VTuber, it is safe to assume it boosted the user base of the gaming browser. Some fans, however, might still be wondering about the origin of GX Aura and how this gaming browser’s model rose to fame.

The origins of GX Aura

While the VTuber is dominating the Twitch space with her silly impressions and humor, the original purpose of GX Aura was different. Opera GX created Aura to first be the mascot of their Discord community.

However, the community loved her soo much that the gaming browser company decided to give GX Aura more mainstream roles. Since then, Aura has got her own Twitch channel and has also recorded a song for her fans.

VTuber’s cover of KICK BACK by Kenshi Yonezu has gained over 229,000 views in just two days of its release. Both gaming fans and anime lovers have appreciated the cover by Aura.
